The potential candidacies Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee are over. Sarah Palin is the 2012 frontrunner, and these loser candidates can't beat her. Romney's refusal to directly address the crux of the rift between Mormons and Trinitarian Christianity - that Mormons say they're the only Christian religion
- and thus comes across as evasive and gutless. Huckabee's fiscal conservatism
is weak, and his nanny-statist streak
is too strong. (And why
are we supposed to be impressed with the governor of a failed Southern state?)
Hillary's presidential aspirations are also toast, but with Obama at the helm that's not much consolation. And she's on the Senate Armed Services Committee - that's just vile.
