The first sentence in the article points to one of my great frustrations with the Koran:
It has often been noted that while the Bible is (among many other things) a series of historical narratives, the Qur’an is a series of sermons.
It is very difficult to learn about Islam if one's only source is this disorganized jumble that is the Koran.
